This interactive library would help synthetic chemists in making all types of useful compounds (such as drugs and biodegradable polymers). The idea is that in the library there are stored the mechanisms to synthesize a variety of compounds that can be used such that a chemist would need only to write a target molecule (and maybe give a list of possible reactants) for the library to tell her if there are already known synthesis mechanisms to make the molecule. This library would also have to be easy to update since new syntheses methods are constantly being developed.
